Ability to rent / sub-lease/ sub-rent / reserve for your Stay, various Club assets based on availability. Ability to reserve private / semi-private use of Vacation Homes that the Club has obtained involving purchase, rent, or lease for a period as provided by law. Reservations, rentals, and private use periods to accommodate your Stay will be executed within the confines of this not-for-profit social organization. The North Georgia Boating Club is a Boating Family and reserves all rights to conduct family business without intrusions from outside entities other than any rules and regulations that apply to any other Family sharing and residing in a vacation home. As a social organization registered as a 501(c)7, we identify as a Boating Family and reserve all rights associated with this type of organization.

Local ordinances regulating short term rental and / or vacation use of residential property do not restrict the club or it's members
from continuing in established legal uses of the property.
Membership Overview
Member Categories
- Basic Member – Individual Member of North Georgia Boating Club 501(c) 7 (herein “NGBC” or the “Club”) – Includes privilege to reserve and rent Club held assets including Vacation Homes, Boats, water toys for the purpose of recreation and safe harbor and other “Vacation Type” purposes. Member must be substantially present or actively engaged at Vacation Property during reserved use. Utilization of boats and/or other aquatic craft and related implements places these instruments in constructive possession and control (as if it were owned by Member). This gives Member ability to give friends and their Family Members permission to operate the vessel without actual Member being present. Member will assume responsibility of operator training and understanding all boating rules, laws, guidelines, and local best-practices.
- Stake Holding Member – Individual, Couple, or Family Member of North Georgia Boating Club. This level of Membership is primarily reserved for Members that have an ownership or contractual interest in the assets or services that make up the experience of the Club. These Members enjoy all the rights, benefits, and privileges of Basic Membership PLUS more favorable pricing on boating reservations and casual boating use.
- Board Member – Individual Member of North Georgia Boating Club. This level of Membership could vote on items brought before the board in addition to enjoying all the rights, benefits, and privileges afforded to other levels of Membership. Many dues and fees associated with asset use are waived for this Membership level.
- Officers – Club officers have all the rights, benefits, and privileges afforded to Board Members with ultimate responsibility to make the Club function in a manner that benefits all levels of Membership with the stated mission of… “Boating Safety, Family, and Fun.”

New Members / Existing Members / Definitions
- Existing Members – Existing Members (all levels) are not to use commercial rental platforms like VRBO to reserve a Stay, and/or rent available assets. Please communicate your inquiries and requests via North Georgia Boating Club, to: www.northgeorgiaboat.org.
- New Members – We love the rental platforms because in many cases they help new Members locate the Club. The Boat Club’s Membership sales affiliate may advertise several of our homes on these sites; however, the homes and/or watercraft assets are not available to the public. Membership must be purchased, and Terms & Conditions accepted prior to reserving any boat Club assets. It is important to understand that your Stay and your rental term are not synonymous when booking via a platform.
- Stay / Private Use Dates – This designated time you can call the Vacation Home your own. As a Member (all levels), you will use the home for its intended purpose: Residential, as a second home or dwelling for the purpose of recreation, safe harbor, and hosting friends and family. The Vacation Home may not be used as an event center or party house. You will have an agreement separate and apart from your Membership Agreement that will set formal limits for number of guests, cars, boats, and general use rules for the Vacation Home.
- Club Member as needed access– At times that no Member reserved for Private Use Dates or Stay. During these times you may access the property and grounds including boat dock. this access must be scheduled with boat Club Agent. No “unannounced or unapproved access” is permissible. This access is Member-only (i.e., no non-Member guests without Club Agent approval). Typical use during this period includes, but is not limited to:
- Meet and coordinate with 3rd Party Vendors such as chefs, caterers, photographers, performers, instructors, coordinators, assistants, etc.
- Bringing and removing items used for your Stay such as paddle boards, kayaks, coolers, dining implements, decorations, party-favors, groceries, etc.
- A scheduled Club Boating Coach for Boat Orientation prior to your Stay.
- Any and all other necessary pre/post-Stay activities reasonably calculated to make Member Stay more coordinated, enjoyable, safe, and otherwise consistent with the stated aims of the Club.
- Cancellation Policy – Reservation Cancellation Policy varies from property-to-property. Please check “LISTING DETAILS.” No refunds will be made or accommodated unless noted on Listing or Invoice details, or otherwise agreed to in writing.
Be advised that your reservation prohibits others from reserving the property. If you need to cancel, it must be done in writing. The Club will attempt to find a replacement reservation for your dates. Even if property policy does not permit a right to a refund, we may be able to facilitate a partial refund if we find a replacement user for your dates. Early cancellations have a better chance of greater refund than do last-minute. - Added Use / Service Policy – Unauthorized Late Check-Out: $50/hour. BBQ Grill Cleaning: $25 (if Member leaves grill clean, there will be no charge. Excess Trash: Each property has at minimum, one standard 90-gallon container. If your use produces more trash than what fits in the provided container(s), you must arrange to have it removed from property. In the event that our Hospitality Team is required to remove such trash and/or debris, their services are billed @ $45/hr. Upon timely Request, Club Service provider offers VIP house-prep service(s). Please inquire. Minimum additional fee of $100.00.
- Over-Use Fees – Each home has use limitations noted on the Invoice as to the number of guests permitted with your use. You may request to have these limits raised for a fee per person, per night. The Club is not obligated to grant these over-use requests. Any expanded use must be requested, approved, and paid a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours in advance of Stay. If you exceed approved limits, you will be responsible for any damages plus an additional fee of $100 per (over-use) person, per day, and $100 per (over-use) vehicle, per day. Upon notification you will have one (1) hour to conform your Stay within approved limitations. The Club reserves the right to terminate your Stay for multiple Over-Use violations. The guest limits apply to all guests except children under the age of (two) 2 will. These use limitations will be strictly enforced. If an unauthorized party or gathering occurs, Member acknowledges that it will cause problems with neighbors, County and State rules, laws and ordinances, and possibly cause the Club to lose its lease with property owner. If the Club or property owner is harmed by your failure to manage your use you, will be expected to compensate owner and or Club for any foreseeable damages therefrom.
- Security & Damage Policy – Member (Individual or Entity) paying Invoice is responsible for the care of the premises, appliances, and furnishings. You are also responsible for all damage by neglect or wrongful acts caused by you or any of your guests. North Georgia Boating Club or its agents may immediately charge an additional $500 to card on file for any damages or violating House Rules, including, but not limited to, No Pets, No Smoking, etc. In the event damages & fees exceed $500, NGBC will provide Member with itemized statement of charges due. Member will then have ten (10) days to arrange for optional payment method prior to any additional charges. The Club has selected each property because of its desirable attributes. However, if you have difficulty or issue with any Club property, we encourage you to write the Club's Board by sending a detailed review to mailbox contact@northgeorgiaboat.org. The Board will use your feedback to take corrective measures and resolve problem for next Member using the property. Negative public reviews are prohibited and will cause damage to the Club's mission.
- Owner / Board Member / Agent Access – While the Club respects the privacy and enjoyment of Members’ private use, we have a duty to property Owners and other Members to ensure a safe and lawful use of the Club property and assets. As such, Owner, Board Member, and or Agent may access property as reasonably need needed to ensure lawful and contractual compliance, as well ensuring the safety of the occupants of the property. When practicable, 12-hour notice will be provided.
- Member Casual Access – Any North Georgia Boat Club Member is welcome to casual use of all outdoor facilities at all Club held property. Casual use may not conflict with Member reserved use. However, stopping by dock and meeting fellow Club Members is encouraged. (Temporary prohibition on casual access due to Covid restrictions, guidelines, and mandates).
- Keys / Access – Key will be supplied at the time of check-in. It is your responsibility to keep the home secure while in and away from the home. Key must be placed back in lock box at the time of checkout. Any lost key will result in a $10 lost key fee
- House Rules – Members and their guest are subject to the following House Rules.
- Noise / Nuisance / Damage Causing Behavior: Members and their guests are not to disturb neighbors with loud noise or music, or unlawful, unsafe or pollution causing behavior. Should Member or any of its guests participate in such behavior, you will be ordered to leave and forfeit the remainder of the use fees and the security / reservation deposit. Authorized deposit may be collected & held to offset costs associated with you or your guests’ misconduct. Any intentional acts that damage property or reputation of Club or homeowner will result in loss of your authorized deposit. Intentional acts of loud music and disruption such as employing a DJ will be cause for immediate removal from property and a $2,000.00 fee, plus any financial damage Club or property may incur due to your breach of your Membership Agreement.
- Smoke-free Environment: For the enjoyment of all future guests, smoking is not permitted in the home.
- No Pet Policy: No pets are allowed in vacation home. Most of properties will have no exceptions to the no pet policy. If an exception is made, it will be included as an item on your Invoice and there will be an additional charge for each pet. The Club is not required to accommodate pet requests.
- On-Premise Rules/Guidelines: Each property may have additional rules, guidelines, instruction, etc. If so, these additional requirements will be located in an on-premise property book, or disclosed at or near the equipment or area for which the rule applies.
- Liability & Hold Harmless – All Members and Guests shall indemnify and hold harmless property owner, North Georgia Boating Club and any of its agents from any and all liability, claims, loss, damage, or expenses arising by reason of any death, injury, or property damage sustained by any person including any agent or employee where such death, injury or property damage is allegedly caused by a negligent or intentional act by Responsible Party, Member, or any of its guests (authorized or otherwise).
- Performance – This Agreement imposes an obligation of good faith in its performance and enforcement. If you (Member, or Individual or Entity paying the Invoice) default in the performance of any of the obligations contained herein, the Club shall be entitled to recover all costs and expenses including court costs and reasonable attorney fees.
- Service of Unit – Power, TV, Internet outages, and household appliance service issues will be addressed, fixed, remedied, or restored promptly during your Stay. However, refunds will only be considered if the property becomes legally uninhabitable.
Member accepts the responsibility of informing all guests, agents, employees of the above Terms & Conditions. This reserved use in no way conveys possession of property. As the responsible Member you will have use of property for your event, vacation or similar purpose as detailed by use limitations, and check in and check out times on your Private Use Dates Invoice.
